Trail Day - Pidherny
September 28, 2008Trail Maintenance Day went off without a hitch! A good turn out of 15 builders signed up and an assortment of other riders we "Encouraged" to grab a shovel made short work of a couple of berms in need of some luvin'. Hot dogs were served up by Cindy Engler. Nicole (I think she was buying votes!) and the gang served up a meal at the AGM afterwards! Adam had a little spaghetti with his garlic toast!
Main Trail, TTF

The old broken ladder was removed and rebuilt essentially the same.
The new ladder has a drop off the end/hip right.
TTF may be finished with a rollable ladder.

The gap was filled in with logs and dirt. Both jumps are now rollable.
Drainage and shaping to be worked on.

Some of the gang diggin' some mean berms.
The club ended up with a good assortment of tools (email me if your dad's missing something). T'was a good season ender of official, unofficial trail maintenance. Thanks to those who couldn't make trail day but have already left their imprint! We have lots more work to do but we slaughtered some projects.

Previous picture a little later - notice the "insloped turn" on top of the "insloped turn" (he he)…
Notice the grade reversal and drain before the berm.

The guys that committed to make this happen
the builders, Cindy…thanks all!
The PGCC is currently anticipating approval from the Ministry of Tourism, Sport and the Arts on a pilot project that would officially approve MTB in an area known as Pidherny. The save Pidherny Campaign was started to fend of an encroaching golf course relocation but is now looking like it will be so much more. http://www.mtbpg.ca/mtbpg_home.html
